Unpack a Spring Picnic at Clarendon Community Center Park

One of the best things about living in Chicago is that the city goes above and beyond when it comes to offering opportunities for outdoor recreation. Chicago overflows with beautiful parks, features a scenic trail that runs the length of the city, and even plays host to a large roster of beaches. Clarendon Community Center Park is just one of the many places you can get some fresh air.

It sprawls out across a little more than 12 acres right in the heart of the vibrant Uptown neighborhood, just a couple of blocks from Sheridan Road and another few from Lakeshore Drive. The park boasts baseball and softball fields, a basketball court, a sprayground for kids, and a newly debuted area just for dogs. When the clubhouse is open, it hosts a variety of activities, from fitness classes to summer camps.
