Pasta Is Made From Scratch at Tortello, Now Open Near 811 Uptown

Pasta Made From Scratch At Tortello

Despite opening its doors for the first time just a few months ago, Tortello is one of Chicago’s best-rated Italian eateries on Yelp. What are local diners so enthusiastic about? Warm, friendly service, and plenty of hearty, house-made pasta. Owner Dario Monni’s vision for the restaurant is simple: it should be a place where friends and family gather to share food and laughter. Consequently, the dining room is arranged to make that easy, with a single long bench running the length of the restaurant, and lots of small tables that can be pushed together or pulled apart, depending on the size of your party.

The menu features decadent dishes like burrata-stuffed pasta with sage and brown butter sauce, as well as classics from Monni’s grandmother’s kitchen (try the deep-dish lasagna bolognese). Want to craft your own custom meal? Tortello makes it easy, with a variety of house-made pastas and sauces that you can mix and match as you like.
